This monument is situated near Bhonga Pal village in dense forest about 70 kms. from Kondagaon (Via Narayanpur). This is the only site, which has Buddha-image locally known as ‘Dokara Baba’ Brick-built ‘Chaitya-Griha’ so far known in Bastar district is a unique find. Remains of two built temples were also unearthed, dedicated to lord Shiva. Buddhist Chaiya Griha or Chaityalaya was built in circa, 6th Cent. A.D. and these ruined Shiva temples, also belonging to the same period, were built by the Nalavamshi rulers. This monument has high archaeological value but at present the monuments of this site are in a bad condition.
