The history of Virajit Dongargarh’s mother Bamleshwari on the highest peak of the state of Chhattisgarh is very old. A big fair is held every year on the occasion of Navratri in the temple of Mother Bamleshwari Devi. And here are two temples of Mother, below is the temple of Chhoti Bamleshwari and the other is the temple of Bada Bamlai atop the hill.The mother situated on the hill is known as Badi Bamleshwari Devi while Chhoti Bamleshwari Devi Temple is located about 300 meters from the hill.There are two temples of Maa Bamleshwari in Dongargarh. One temple is at the bottom of the hill and the other at the top of the hill. The temple above the hill is called Badi Bamlai temple and the temple below the hill is called Chhoti Bamlai temple.
