This centre was started in 1985 for the uplift of the tribal people of Abujhmarh. Activities:A residential higher secondary school with 1198 students, mostly tribal.
A multipurpose workers’ training centre, which trained 24 villagers in motor mechanics, driving, tailoring, carpentry, etc.
An agriculture training-cum-demonstration unit, which trained 3868 farmers. About 15,000 tribal farmers attended the Kisan Mela (farmers’ fair) organized by this unit. Besides, educational tours for tribal farmers were also conducted.
A central library with 13,481 books and 67 periodicals and newspapers.
Two residential junior schools at Abujhmarh with 365 tribal students.
Three primary schools at Irakbhatti, Kachchapal & Kutul villages with 289 tribal students.
A free Industrial Training Institute with 10 trades trained 305 boys.
Free coaching facilities for 2007 tribal students who were also provided with stationery, uniforms, food and transport facilities.
Vivekananda Arogya Dham, a 30-bed hospital, which treated 3405 inpatients and 57,658 outpatients (including 156 TB cases).
A mobile medical unit, which treated 9481 patients.
Five health posts at Kutul, Irakbhatti, Kundla, Kachchapal and Akabeda villages, which treated 20,383 patients.
Six fair-price shops and various rural development programmes like land repair, digging ponds, etc.
Installation of 210 hand pumps in villages.
Celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other saints.
