Somnath Mandir You may have heard about Somnath, but this is not the Somnath we are telling you today. It is located in Somnath Chhattisgarh. There is a three feet high Shivling here, it is known as Somnath here. The special thing is that this Shivling is many years old and has emerged from here in excavation. .At a distance of 10 km from Simga ahead of Dharsinwa, the confluence of the Kharun river and Shivnath river on the first left is the way to the Somnath shrine. At a distance of 3 km from the main road is the village of Lakhna on the banks of the Kharun river and one km from Lakhna is the pilgrimage site of Somnath. Somnath Mahadev’s temple is situated on a high mound at the confluence of Kharun river and Shivnath river in Somnath. The circular Shivling is 3 feet high.
Statues of Shiva family Parvati Devi, Ganesh ji, Kartikeya and Nandi are installed in the temple. At the same time, during the excavation in this temple, a statue of Shivling, similar to Somnath Mahadev Shivling, was found, which has been installed in the temple built by the Nishad society. Jamghat, Kritpur, Sahagaon, etc. villages are located at the confluence site of Kharun river and Shivnath river.
